Welcome Dr Franziska Walter, a PD-MitoQUANT postdoctoral researcher at the RCSI

Welcome to the PD-MitoQUANT project, Dr Franziska Walter! Franziska joins the research team at the RCSI and is very excited to bring her expertise to the PD-MitoQUANT project.

Working together with Dr Orla Watters on Tasks 1.3 and 1.4, Franziska conducts reactive oxygen species and bioenergetic measurements in primary neurons.

Franziska Walter, PhD is originally from Germany where she completed an undergraduate degree in science. She earned a PhD at the RCSI and currently works as a postdoctoral researcher. Possessing a solid background in molecular biology, live-cell imaging and image analysis, Franziska has a strong interest in cellular stress responses, particularly ER stress.
