We extend a warm welcome Anagha Jagannathan, MSc. who is working together with Dr Franziska Walter at the RCSI – the University of Medicine and Health Sciences to study mitochondrial stress response and bioenergetics in primary cortical neurons.

I am originally from India where I completed my undergraduate degree in genetics. I completed my master’s degree in Molecular biology at University College Cork, Ireland and am currently working as a research assistant at RCSI. I have a background in molecular cell biology, cell imaging and handling primary neurons.

My research interest is focused on studying cellular stress mechanisms in neurodegenerative disorders.
