Dr Isabela Aparicio
PD-MitoQUANT welcomes Dr Isabela Aparicio, and her expertise!
Based at the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland- University of Medicine and Health Sciences, Dr Aparicio is originally from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil where she obtained a degree in Genetics and later was awarded an M.Sc. in Biophysics. After working as a Lecturer in Human Physiology and as a Qualified Patent Attorney, Dr Aparicio moved to Ireland on a doctoral fellowship at UCD, where was awarded a PhD in Biochemistry.
After her doctorate, Dr Aparicio worked as a full-time researcher until 2013. In 2014, she was offered her current position at the RCSI as research manager, where she is involved in the coordination of European doctoral programmes and dissemination activities. Dr Aparicio is also a member of RCSI’s Women’s Network.
