The Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) is a large multidisciplinary research institution with nearly 32,000 employees, out of which over 11,000 researchers, and a budget of 3.5 billion euros for 2017. The Life Sciences Institute weights 30% of the CNRS with over 300 research units. The CNRS is ranked Top publishing institution worldwide.

In PD-MitoQUANT, CNRS will generate de novo distinct human and mice αSyn strains for use in in vitro and in vivo studies. CNRS will also investigate the fibrillar αSyn mitochondrial protein interactome.
