Congratulations to PD-MitoQUANT PI Prof Ronal Melki of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) and co-authors M Landureau, V Redeker, T Bellande, and S Eyquem. Their open-access paper, The differential solvent exposure of N-terminal residues provides ‘fingerprints’ of alpha-synuclein fibrillar polymorphs was accepted for publication in the Journal of Biological Chemistry on April 28th, 2021. The “Parkinson’s Research in Ireland” seminar series 2.0 took place on April 8th and 15th, 2021. ICM Dr Patrick Michel presents latest PD-MitoQUANT results at PI meeting

Dr Patrick Michel, researcher at the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle Epinière (ICM) will present his latest PD-MitoQUANT results at the monthly PI Progress Report at the ICM today, March 18, 2021. Dr Michel's presentation is titled: "In vitro modeling of alpha-Synuclein aggregation in dopamine neurons with fibril seeds." PD-MitoQUANT PIs at Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center, Dr Werner Koopman and Merel Adjobo-Hermans are the co-organisers of the annual Spring Symposium of The Netherlands Society for Biochemistry and Molecular Biology (NVBMB). IMI’s Neuronet Project rolls out Knowledge Base dashboard

The Neuronet Project (https://www.imi-neuronet.org/) recently launched its Knowledge Base platform that assembles key information about eighteen Innovative Medicines Initiative-funded projects. The new dashboard includes PD-MitoQUANT within the neurodegeneration portfolio with an aim to boost research collaboration through the identification of gaps, multiply impact and enhance visibility. This one-stop-shop allows users to explore the diverse projects and outputs of the entire portfolio. It also includes links to more than 380 publications and 350 publishable deliverable reports.  

Dr O’Sullivan, DZNE presents PD-MitoQUANT research at AD/PD 2021 meeting

Dr Sinead O'Sullivan, DZNE Dr Sinead O'Sullivan of the German Center for Neurodegenerative Diseases (DZNE) is presenting PD-MitoQUANT research at The 15th International Conference on Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Diseases meeting. The title of Dr O'Sullivan's poster abstract is 'Single-cell analysis of alpha-synuclein-induced mitochondrial dysfunction in-vivo'.
